Why a registration centre
There are may assistance agencies. Each one is working in their own field. Practice shows that, also in the country as a whole, the number of complex situations continues to increase. It is very difficult for social workers to find good solutions to all the various problems in a single household. Furthermore, it often concerns a group of people that do not seek help themselves (anymore). It is difficult to get an overview of or to follow this target group. The worries and possible nuisance for the environment may, however, increase.
It is usually only the moment that a situation becomes out of control that the problem manifests itself and that assistance is started. For example in case of nuisance. At that moment, it is often too late to help people get back in the saddle with quick and easy interventions. These are the kind of situations Meldpunt Bezorgd? wants to end. The Centre has contacts with all assistance agencies and ensures that people get the help they need at an early stage. The Centre is a point of convergence. The various problems come together here. Their mutual connection is pointed out after which they are addressed.
Meldpunt Bezorgd? does not take over work from existing assistance agencies. The existing possibilities for help of General Social Services and GGZ-Delfland simply continue. It is the people who do not ask for help themselves that Meldpunt Bezorgd? looks after. The Centre joins forces of various organisations.
